1,000 members and lessons from the Just About Creator Collab
The wit and wisdom from our second IRL event
It’s been a big week: Just About has gained its 1,000th member, part of a flurry of sign-ups around last week’s Creator Collab and the launch of our newest community. The happy fizz of conversation - audible more as rattling keyboards than, y’know, actual conversation - bubbles from the Content Creators’ intro thread, from our new Meet the Team profiles (inspired by member demand rather than ego, honest), and the re-emergence of a mysterious stranger.
But first things first. Let’s tell you all about our second real-life event!
The Just About Creator Collab
The day after Just About Content Creators launched, we hosted our Creator Collab at EGX London. It had the same spirit as the Community Collab back in July: we want to support and learn from the people that we’re building this thing for, so we got a bunch of them into a room and let them ask each other clever questions.
It was a goldmine; heaps of valuable advice and good, positive vibes were shared across three panel discussions and a chat with TikTok’s UK head of gaming and sports. We’ve put together the key takeaways (plus a few pics) on our new Content Creators’ community here.
Better yet, we’re running three bounties based on the panel topics, and when it’s time to gather their wisdom, we’ll add what we heard from the stage. All this expertise means Just About Content Creators is about to get a terrific trove of advice, so if you create for the internet (or just want to), be sure to come by and check it out.
And while we’re on the subject of curated articles…
Where’s our content?
Four communities up and running. Our bounty system in full flow. It’s a recipe for a lot of fantastic original content, all fuelled by our members’ native expertise, and it’s been getting tricky to keep track of it all.
Our latest platform update unlocks a new tab on the nav bar: click the ‘Curated’ button on any community to see all its curated articles. You can do the same thing across the platform itself, too, and see what’s happening in communities you don’t belong to (yet). So come and explore!
