The start of a new year is the accepted time to set goals and make plans, but we’ve got an excuse for being predictable. At the end of last year, Just About passed a milestone: we entered Beta. And we announced our big goal for 2024: growth.
Here’s what you can expect to see in support of that this coming year.
More members with more to do
We’ve had an influx of new members since the Beta launch, and it’s been great to see so many faces new and old getting involved in the platform over the holidays.
A special occasion is a chance to experiment a bit, and whether it was crowdsourcing a song, a treasure hunt across our platform, or an alternative Christmas address from an in-game celebrity, we tried some new bounty formats that spread plenty of festive joy, with more submissions and responses than ever before.
In 2024, you’ll see us ignite our outreach to new audiences, and strengthen our content offering further in both technical and design terms. Proven popular bounties will return, with new and experimental ones, sometimes enabled by new platform features, adding a little zest.
More and varied communities
Expect to see new partner communities alongside Just About EVE Online in the months ahead. EVE has blazed a trail for bounty design and member engagement, and will continue to do so in other ways.
As pledged in our core values and our roadmap, we want our communities to be led by their members. As soon as they’re at the right scale and maturity, we’ll hand over the reins - that means moderators, and in time, bounty setters and content curators, all drawn from the membership.
They’ll be supported with a direct line to the Just About team, and also with…
Ongoing platform development
Our tireless tech team will build and bolster the platform to make all this possible. In the past month we’ve rolled out updates to improve our auto-moderator, as well as platform performance and security.
To help us catch everything, we’ve added a public bug reporting link. You can access this by clicking the three dots at the top-right of the screen, next to the earnings icon. In the dropdown menu you’ll see the option to report a bug, which will take you to a Google Form to submit your bug directly.
Besides this, we’ve got a long list of features and upgrades to work through, to build new functionality that will surprise and delight our members. A Beta is a Beta, after all, and we’ve got a lot of fantastic things to build before we can declare a version 1.
That said, the core of Just About is in place, and the growing numbers and activity among our membership reflect a sentiment that it’s a pretty cool place to be. Come check out our active bounties, our curated content, our just head into the platform and explore.
It’s going to be a big year. We’re glad to have you with us.
