This past week has been another strong one for excellent original content. We connected the Just About EVE community with an in-game celebrity, helped a member to success at a charity event, and reminded one another of our third dimensions as the Just About team convened for our quarterly meeting.
Busy bEVErs
This past week, Schadsquatch and the EVE community raised $6,099 for charity at an event in an Edmonton mall. In the lead-up, Schad posted about it on all our communities and we shared it to the EVE Discord. We’re delighted to see its success, to have given it a boost, and to see charitable content on Just About.
Elsewhere, we set live another of our community-sourced interviews connecting Just About EVE with the game’s biggest figures - this time with his holiness, the Space Pope - and our second ‘suggest-a-bounty’ bounty.
It’s a bounty in which our members suggest their own bounty ideas, and a teeny hint of what it’ll be like when we hand them the keys to their communities. With seven submissions in only a day, it’s one of the most rapidly engaged bounties we’ve run, and we can’t wait to launch another set of community-sourced bounties from it.
Over on Just About Video Games, we want to know your five desert island games and we got the news that Rockstar is finally ready to unveil GTA 6, while our Content Creators community has a new guide on how to find your voice.
Burgers and quarterlies
If you’ve been hanging out on the platform, you can probably tell we’re not ones to ape every custom of corporate culture. But to reflect on progress once every three months feels about right, and is a nice excuse to see each other in person and eat trendy food.
So this week - just yesterday, in fact - the Just About team got together for our quarterly meeting. And gourmet burgers.
Design, content, social, and technical folks all shared insights from our Alpha period as we pause to assess our position on the road(map). We’re keeping certain cards unrevealed for now, but the path ahead is newly sharpened in focus, and the next stage of the journey is closer than you might think.
So come on back to Just About and take in our members’ creativity! If you’ve not posted yet, your window to say ‘I was there in Alpha’ is slowly closing…
