Critter Café and an all-time record for user-generated content on Just About
More members are making more great stuff across more games than ever
Lately, there’s been a symmetry to this newsletter: we followed our Farming Simulator 25 announcement with a first-week update, and now we’re doing the same to follow last week’s Critter Café announcement.
Seeing these two launches back to back makes plain their differences, but also a clear fact: their members have taken to the platform with the same eagerness. We know that, because…
This week, we set a new all-time record for the number of reward submissions made on Just About.
A clamour of cosiness
Critter Café is a lovely ‘cosy’ game with a big publisher in Secret Mode, yet a very indie sensibility. It’s brand new, so we’re building its community from the ground up.
We’ve seen a steady stream of cosy gaming fans and content creators getting involved in all our rewards, but here are just a few of the highlights:
Members flocked to Twitch to stream Critter Café for an hour (or more);
The ‘share your avatar’ and ‘solve a critter-rescue puzzle’ rewards have generated many adorable (and highly sharable) images and video clips;
And then there’s this amazing submission to our big-prize baking challenge: a cake in the shape of the feline critter, Catcus!
In many ways, Critter Café couldn’t be more different from Farming Simulator, a long-running series of deep simulator games with a well-established community. But, as we discussed in a previous issue, those differences haven’t stopped the Farming Sim community from diving into our platform, too. That’s why this has been…
(Another) best-ever week for Just About
Another successful launch alongside the continuing momentum of Farming Simulator and all our other communities has driven our headline announcement: just this week, we set a new all-time platform record for member submissions to our rewards, and for member submissions that successfully earned prizes.
That means our members are making more great content than ever before, across more great games than ever before, and earning more in real-money prizes than ever before.
It’s striking to see this success across such different games. Between EVE Online, Elite Dangerous, SMITE 2, Farming Simulator 25, and Critter Café, we’ve got quite the varied portfolio now. For us, this proves that our model can nourish games, communities, and brands of all kinds, each producing something similarly vibrant, yet just as unique as the seedbed in which they take root.
So if you represent a game or a brand are intrigued by Just About, but have been hesitating because you’re not sure of the fit, why not drop us a line to chat?
