It’s tough out there for content creators. Platforms make career-altering decisions without warning or consultation, audiences can be less than kind, and they both demand content like Arnold demanded protein. If the grind gets too real, it’s hard to take a break when you can almost feel your sub count dropping.
Consider instead the heady days of early YouTube, when people couldn’t believe they’d been given such an outlet for their creativity. The playfulness of it all. That’s how it should feel to create.
We won’t restore that all by ourselves - our mission isn’t to replace the big platforms, but to support creators by adding another option. And now, with the launch of our fourth community, by giving them a place to support each other: Just About Content Creators.
The place for creators to gather
JACC is live now, just in time for our Creator Collab at EGX 2023. We’ve got some bounties live already and another three cued up tomorrow to tackle the same topics as our expert panels at the show.
If you’re in or around London, there’s still time to squeeze you in! Head here to get your tickets and check out the full line-up, now featuring a chat with Rollo Goldstaub, TikTok’s UK head of sports and gaming.
Panel or community: who’s going to give the best advice? Whoever it is, we’ll gather and publish it for everyone’s benefit, covering three of the big questions for content creators: how to get discovered, how to monetise your work, and how to handle the particular stresses of this weird but wonderful career.
And we’ll keep it rolling. We’ll have more bounties to spark discussions on all aspects of content creation and turn them into helpful resources. We’ll make JACC the new place to be for creators, whether you’re established and looking to get to the next level, or you’ve always wanted to start but never known where. It’s here.
Let’s recapture a little of that playful and supportive spirit.
